Farmers' Chakka Jam: Four metro stations closed

| @indiablooms | Feb 06, 2021, at 06:16 pm

New Delhi/UNI: In the wake of the 'chakka jam' called by the protesting farmers on Saturday, four Metro stations in the national capital have been shut.

Entry and exit gates of Vishwavidyalya (Delhi University), Lal Quila (Red Fort), Janpath, and Central Secretariat would be inaccessible.

"Entry/exit gates of Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, Janpath and Central Secretariat are closed. Interchange facility is available," the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) said in a tweet.

The Delhi Delhi had asked the Delhi Metro authorities yesterday to stay prepared to shut down few metro stations in case a situation calls for it.

On Jan 26, the DMRC had to shut metro stations on Yellow line after the farmer's rally in the National Capital took a violent turn.
