Faridabad teacher stabbed 34 times in 30 seconds at school gate; shocking CCTV details emerge
Faridabad/IBNS: In a horrific incident, a 29-year-old teacher was allegedly stabbed 34 times in about 30 seconds by a masked man at a private school in Haryana's Faridabad, media reports said.
CCTV footage showed Sandhya was attacked by a man, later identified as 21-year-old Amit, outside the school gate in Sikrona village.
Attack outside school gate
According to the school administrator, a young man arrived at the gate and asked to speak with Sandhya.
When she stepped out to meet him, the accused allegedly grabbed her by the neck and repeatedly stabbed her in the face, neck and chest more than 30 times within half a minute.
Upon hearing her screams, the administrator rushed to the spot.
When he tried to intervene, the attacker allegedly turned on him as well. The administrator managed to defend himself, but by then the assailant had fled.
Sandhya was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Accused arrested within two hours
Police arrested Amit, a resident of Kot village, within two hours of the incident.
According to police, he later confessed to the crime during questioning.
Preliminary probe points to harassment and revenge
Initial investigation suggests Amit had come in contact with Sandhya around two years ago and had allegedly been trying to befriend her. However, she reportedly avoided communicating with him.
Police said Sandhya had allegedly warned him that she would file a complaint if the harassment continued.
Media reports claim she had earlier filed a molestation case against Amit, following which he had issued a public apology.
Investigators suspect the murder was an act of revenge, and further investigation is underway.
