Encounter going on between security forces and terrorists in Shopian

Srinagar, Feb 27 (IBNS): An encounter is currently going on in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian area on Wednesday, police said.

The security forces are currently engaged in the encounter with suspected terrorists.

Kashmir Police Zone tweeted: "Encounter is in progress at #Shopian. SFs on job. Further details shall follow.@JmuKmrPolice."

Kashmir witnessed a dark Feb 14 this year when a terror attacked claimed lives of 40 Indian Central Reserve Police Force personnel.

The incident was widely condemned across India.

India blamed Pakistan for the incident.

Indian Air Force jets on Tuesday targeted terror camp across the LoC on Tuesday.
