Eleven killed in Thane building collapse

Thane, Maharashtra, Aug 4 (IBNS) At least eleven people were killed after a 50-year-old building collapsed in Thane late on Monday night. Many others are feared trapped under the debris.

Reports said five families were living in the three-storey building which the the municipal corporation had already declared as dangerous to live in and asked its residents to vacate.

The fire brigade, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and other agencies are engaged in rescuing the trapped and injured people.
