Earthquake hits Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 31 (IBNS) :  An earthquake shook  Kashmir Valley along with Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab after it hit Afghanistan and Pakistan.

People got panicked and ran for safer places as the tremor was felt.

However, no loss of life or property has so far been reported from any part of the valley.

The tremor lasted for about one minute.

According to  EMSC, the magnitude of the earthquake was  6.1 and its  epicentre lay in the  Hindukush region of Afghanistan at a depth of  186 Km.

Latest reports said that the  under construction Jahangir Chowk-Rambagh fly over has  suffered minor damage due to the earthquake.
