Don't attack my Dalit brother: Modi

Hyderabad, Aug 7 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday called for the protection of the Dalit people and stop politics over the issue.

Visiting Telangana, Modi said: "If you have any problem then attack me but don't attack my Dalit brothers."

"In case you want to shoot anyone then shoot me but not my Dalit brother," he said.

Modi earlier launched the first phase of NTPC Super Thermal Power Project in Medak in Telangana and said as citizen of the nation one should  conserve water.

"Sadly, we only realise the importance of water when there is no access to it. As citizens it is our duty to conserve water," Modi said.

"Reforms have taken place in the power sector," he said.

Modi said," You all were asking about a rail line and today the Shilanyas for that has happened."

He said the government is linking economic development and rail connectivity.

"The solution to all the problems lies in development," he said.
