Sagardighi/UNI: With the fear of NRC looming large over people of the state, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said they should think about her whenever they feel worried.

She said, " People should think about their Didi whenever they felt worried."

" Their Didi will always be beside them and they have nothing to fear," she said.

Addressing a public meeting here in Murshidabad district, Banerjee asked people not to listen to outsiders as NRC will not be implemented in Bengal.

The TMC supremo reiterated that communalism will not be tolerated.

" The leaders coming from Hyderabad to mislead the people of Bengal are agents of the BJP, " Ms Banerjee said adding, " The Trinamool Congress is always beside the people of Bengal and fights for their rights all the year round. "

The chief minister said, " The Government will provide all sorts of help to the people affected by the Cyclone Bulbul."

" Workers have security in the state, Unemployment has decreased by 42 per cent," she informed.

It may be mentioned that a new university is coming up at Murshidabad, which was a long-standing demand of the people in the district.
