New Delhi/IBNS: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) said it is not satisfied with the Supreme Court's verdict which has stated the disputed Ayodhya site belongs to Hindus but granted a separate five-acre land for the Muslims to build a mosque.

Addressing a press conference, Sunni Waqaf Board counsel Zafaryab Jilani said, "We are dissatisfied with the the verdict and findings of the Supreme Court. We are not satisfied with the judgement. It is not as per our expectations. We will explore legal remedies later."

"I urged all to maintain peace. The verdict is not about anyone's win or loss. No protest will take place, he said.

The disputed land now goes effectively in possession of the Indian government which has been directed to set up a trust.

The Supreme Court verdict was delivered by a five-member Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi. The other judges are Justice SA Bobde, Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Abdul Nazeer.
