New Delhi/Kolkata, Dec 13 (IBNS): Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said the demonetisation move taken by it last month is a major setback for commoners and workers.

#DeMonetisation is a major setback for commoners and a maximum setback for workers," Banerjee tweeted.

She said: "Crores of people have become victims of a visionless policy. I will share more thoughts on #DeMonetisation in a while."

Modi had announced on Nov 8 his government's decision to ban old Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes.
