Delhi sees slight dip in COVID cases, over 13k test positive

New Delhi/UNI: The national capital on Sunday saw a slight drop in both fresh cases of COVID-19 and related deaths registered during the past 24 hours.

According to the daily health bulletin, 13,336 new cases and 273 deaths were recorded in the past one day taking the cumulative tallies to 13,23,567 and 19,344, respectively.

The positivity rate in Delhi has now come down to 21.67 per cent from Saturday's 23.34 per cent. As many as 61,552 people were tested in the past day while 14,500 people were cured and discharged taking the total recoveries to 12,17,991.

Currently, there are 52,263 COVID patients under home isolation across the city. The number of active cases is 86,232 which includes patients under home isolation. Containment zones also rose to 53,127.

Meanwhile, the government vaccinated 1,29,142 people in the last 24 hours out of which 90,289 beneficiaries received the first dose while 38,853 were administered the second dose. Till now, cumulatively, 38,75,636 people have received a vaccine jab in the national capital.

On the previous day, the Capital added 17,364 fresh cases while 332 more lives were lost.
