The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Wednesday arrested AAP leader Sanjay Singh, hours after his residence was raided in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

The probe agency alleged that Singh, who was arrested under Prevention of Money Laundering Act, played a key role in the formulation and implementation of the now scrapped policy which benefited certain liquor manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers, reported Hindustan Times.

Reacting to the ED raid, AAP spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar earlier said it has raided over 1000 places but nothing was found.

Kakkar wrote on X, “Raids about 1000 places, People were tortured in custody but nothing was found. Nothing will be found at Sanjay sir’s place also.”

On ED raids, Delhi BJP unit president Virendra Sachdeva said that the investigative agency ED has raided AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s residence in connection with Delhi excise policy case.

All the persons, who were involved in the excise policy, case would be exposed and reached at their right place very soon.
