New Delhi/IBNS: The Rouse Avenue Court Wednesday dismissed an interim bail plea by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking seven days bail on medical grounds.

Arvind Kejriwal returned to Tihar jail, in a money-laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy, on June 2 after the last phase of Lok Sabha polling.

He was earlier granted bail of 21 days by the Supreme Court to carry out campaigning for his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) during the general elections.

On Wednesday, the Rouse Avenue Court extended the judicial custody of Kejriwal, produced virtually, till June 19.

The court also directed the concerned authorities to conduct required medical tests of the Aam Aadmi Party chief.

The court is scheduled to take up Kejriwal's application seeking default bail in the case on June 7.

Kejriwal was arrested in March and was granted a temporary three weeks bail till June 1.

On Sunday, the Rouse Avenue Court sent him to judicial custody until June 5. Duty judge Sanjeev Aggarwal noted that Arvind Kejriwal had surrendered to Tihar Jail following Supreme Court directions.'
