Cyprus President meets Indian President and PM on Friday, pays homage at Rajghat

New Delhi, Apr 28 (IBNS): President of the Republic of Cyprus, Anastasiades paid floral tributes at the Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi, at Rajghat, in Delhi on Friday.

He was accompanied by the centre's Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Anupriya Patel.

President Nicos Anastasiades arrived in India on a State visit on April 25 at the invitation of President Pranab Mukherjee.

This is the first visit of the President Anastasiades to India.

Earlier on Friday, he was given a ceremonial guard of honour at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

His other engagements on Friday include a meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee, who will host a banquet in the honour of President Anastasiades.

President Nicos Anastasiades will also hold a delegation-level with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

His schedule also includes a meeting with Vice President Hamid Ansari and the External Affairs Minister.

President Anastasiades will leave Delhi on Saturday.
