New Delhi/IBNS: India, which was once reporting a gradual decline in Novel Coronavirus cases, on Monday reported the biggest daily spike in cases since October, 2020.

The country has reported 68,020 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the overall tally of infections to 1.20 crore.

The Covid-19 toll has further increased to 1.61 lakh with 291 deaths reported in 24 hours between Sunday and Monday mornings.

1.13 crore people have so far recuperated from the deadly disease with 32,231 Covid-19 patients recovering in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra, Karnataka and Punjab are the top three states to register the maximum number of Coronavirus cases.

Over six crore people have so far been vaccinated amid the worry over the rise in cases.
