Corruption accusation against me a political vendetta : Tejashwi Yadav

| | Jul 12, 2017, at 07:09 pm
Patna, Jul 12 (IBNS): Reacting for the first time against the accusation of corruption brought against him, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday cried foul, saying it is a political vendetta.

Tejashwi made the comment after the cabinet meeting of the Bihar government.

"There are no accusations. All these are political vendetta against me" he said while interacting with the media.

The Deputy  CM was accused of corruption by the Central Bureau of Investigation.

Echoing the words of his party, the RJD, Tejashwi ruled out the possibility of resignation from his post.  "People have voted for us and elected. I respect their mandate" he said.

"I will go to the people who have put me on this post" Tejashwi added.

Couple of days ago, the RJD, at its legislature party meeting, made it clear that there was no question of Tejashwi Yadav to resign from the post of State’s Deputy Chief Minister.

The opposition BJP had declared that if he did not resign from his post, the party would launch a movement and let people know about the scam he was involved in.

Though there was a hue and cry over the stability of the ruling  grand alliance particularly after the accusations brought against Tejashwi,  he said : "The grand alliance will continue."

In 2015, the grand alliance, formed by the JD(U), RJD along with Congress, was voted to power over the Bharatiya Janata Party in the assembly election.
