New Delhi, Dec 13 (IBNS): Supreme Court of India, on Wednesday, said that a five-judge constitution bench will hear pleas against mandatory linking of Aadhaar with various govt schemes and welfare measures, according to media reports.

The bench will sit at two pm on Thursday to consider the interlocutory applications seeking interim relief against the Centre's decision on linking of Aadhaar with various schemes, media reported.

On Nov 27, the SC had said that it was considering setting up a constitution bench to hear the petitions.

Meanwhile, on Dec 7, the Central government had informed the apex court that the deadline for compulsory linking of Aadhaar to avail various services and welfare schemes is likely to be extended till March 31 next year, according to media reports.
