Constant efforts for Urdu language promotion: Indresh Kumar

New Delhi, Mar 18 (UNI) The government is making constant efforts for the promotion of Urdu language, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Indresh Kumar said on Monday.

Kumar, while addressing the 6th World Urdu Conference here, said, "Urdu is a language of love and connects hearts of people. The purpose of every language is to connect masses."

The senior RSS leader also claimed that the present Modi government has provided maximum funds in the world for the promotion of Urdu language.
About 15 countries and their scholars and writers participated in the 3-day conference which began here today.

The Conference is being held under the aegis of National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language which

is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
NCPUL's aim is to promote, develop and propagate Urdu language.

Urdu scholars from various countries including Bangladesh, Iran, Mauritius are participating in the conference besides Egypt, Canada, France, Germany Japan. USA and UK writers.
