Congress releases star campaigners list for Assam polls

Guwahati/IBNS: The Congress has released a list of 30 star campaigners for Assam assembly polls.

But interestingly, the Congress leaders of ‘Group 23’ including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Kapil Sibal, Anand Sharma, Manish Tiwari have not been named in the list.

Party chief Sonia Gandhi, former prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former Union minister Salman Khursid, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel have been named in the list as star campaigners.

Congress leaders Sachin Pilot, Mukul Wasnik, Navjot Singh Siddhu, Jitendra Singh, Vikas Upadhyay, Anirudh Singh, Mohan Prakash, former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Nabam Tuki, former Chief Minister of  Meghalaya Dr Mukul Sangma, APCC president Ripun Bora, Debabrata Saikia, Paban Singh Ghatowar, MPs Gaurav Gogoi, Pradyut Bordoloi, All India Mahila Congress president Sushmita Dev are among the star campaigners in the list.
