Congress names Sushmita Dev as Mahila Congress chief

New Delhi, Sept 9 (IBNS): The Congress on Saturday said Sushmita Dev has been appointed as the chief of the Mahila Congress.

She will replace Shobha Oza.

Oza had been serving as the chief of the Mahila Congress since August 2013.

"Congress President Sonia Gandhi has approved the name of Ms. Sushmita Dev, MP as the president of the All India Mahila Congress with immediate effect in place of Smt. Shobha Oza," read a statement issued by the Congress.
