Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam terms surgical strike against Pakistan 'fake'

Patna, Oct 4 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has termed India's surgical strike against Pakistan as a "fake" one.

“Every Indian wants #SurgicalStrikesAgainstPak but not a fake one to extract just political benefit by #BJP. Politics over national interest,” tweeted Nirupam along with the posters of BJP in Uttar Pradesh.

Nirupam is the current president of the Mumbai Congress Committee.

Earlier, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi had backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the successful surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army last Wednesday.

Amid mass anger in India over the Uri Army camp attack in Kashmir, India on Wednesday past midnight carried out surgical strikes crossing the Line of Control (LoC) into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, targeting terrorist launchpads working from within the neighbouring country, the army said.
