Congress-Janata Dal Secular coalition government to face trust vote today

Bangalore, July 22 (IBNS): The missing last two deadlines, Karnataka's Congress-Janata Dal Secular coalition government will face the floor test on Monday.

The coalition government missed the last two deadlines for the floor test last week.

There are speculation over which direction Bahujan Samaj Party lawmaker N Mahesh will vote.

Party cheif Mayawati tweeted and said Mahesh has been directed to vote for the coalition.

The ruling combine, which had received a jolt following the Governor's direction to the Chief Minister, had reportedly knocked the doors of the Supreme Court, seeking a stay on the Governor's direction to prove floor test within hours in the noon.

The Confidence motion, which was moved by the Chief Minister on Thursday, had never reached to its logical conclusion, as the ruling Congress and the JD(S) members sought clarifications from the Speaker over an interim order of the Supreme Court, on the petitions of the 15 rebel MLAs.

While the opposition BJP members were insisted to complete the process of the confidence motion, the Speaker while taking cognizance of the ruling party members, deferred the house on the text of seeking legal opinion from the Advocate General over the issues raised by the Congress and the JD(S) members.
