Civilian shot dead by gunmen in south Kashmir’s Tral

Srinagar/UNI: A civilian was killed by unidentified gunmen at Tral region of Pulwama district in south Kashmir on Friday evening.

Official sources said that unidentified gunmen fired at a civilian, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, outside his residence at Tral in Pulwama.

“The injured was immediately taken to a hospital where he succumbed,” they said.

Sources informed that the gunmen managed to escape, adding that security forces have been rushed to the area and a search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.

“Police has registered a case and initiated investigation into the incident,” they added.
