China will actively cooperate with India and West Bengal in the process of economic growth: Chinese Vice President

Kolkata, Nov 6 (IBNS) China’s Vice President Li Yuanchao has asserted that India and China, being neighbours, are traditional friends and every step will be taken to strengthen and consolidate the bond of friendship further.

On the occasion of meeting the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Sushree Mamata Banerjee at Eco Park in Kolkata yesterday,  Li said, his country will actively cooperate with and invest in India specially in West Bengal in the process of economic development.

Li, who was accompanied by a 15 member delegation from China, said, his country has expressed its willingness to invest in the state and West Bengal is going to be their priority investment destination.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee earlier tweeted: "Extremely honoured with kind visit of HE Mr Li Yuanchao, Vice President of People's Republic of China to Kolkata."
