Kolkata, Sep 15(UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) has written letters to top state government official and policemen, seeking details about ex-police commissioner of Kolkata Rajeev Kumar, after he ignored its summon.

The CBI wrote two letters to chief secretary, home secretary, and state police DIG asking information about Kumar.

On Saturday, Kumar sought a month's time to appear before the CBI as his wife is unwell, after Calcutta High Court withdrew its order protecting the top cop's arrest.

The CBI had confirmed that they received an e-mail from Kumar stating the same.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Joint Director Sai Manohar, who arrived yesterday at the CBI office in Kolkata's CGO Complex, had met CBI counsel YJ Dastur along with other officials of the probe agency, to take legal advice on the matter.
