CBI to hold preliminary inquiry against Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain

New Delhi, Apr 11 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), on Tuesday, filed a preliminary inquiry against Delhi minister Satyendar Jain in a money laundering case amounting to Rs 4.63 crore, according to media reports.

Jain is the health minister in Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government.

According to media reports, Jain was allegedly involved in money laundering while serving as a public servant in 2015-16,.

The Income Tax department handed over the case to the CBI under the new Benami Transactions Prohibitions Act.

Delhi municipal elections are scheduled on April 23 this year.
