Thiruvananthapuram/Kollam, May 4 (UNI) The man, who affixed stickers of Al- Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden on his West Bengal registration car, has Instagram account in the name of terrorist, who was killed by US forces in Pakistan.

According to Iravipuram Police, who took the custody of the car on Thursday from Kollam town, the 22-year-old car owner Muhammad Haneef revealed that he started the Instagram account in the name of the global terrorist for a joke.

The Iravipuram police began a probe into more details collected about the car and its owner hailing from Pallimukku in Kollam town in the wake of ISIS plan to carryout terrorist attack in Kerala, sources told UNI.

The police seized the car after receiving a tip off from a passenger that a private car with West Bengal registration number WB 6-8451 was moving in the town.
The passenger also took the photo of the car in his mobile and sent it to Iravipuram Police who seized the car and found that the name and sticker of Bin Laden was affixed on it.

The car driver, Hareesh, told the police that he hired it for a wedding purpose from Muhammad Haneef (22) hailing from Mundakkal near Pallimukku.
Later, the police summoned the car owner who said he bought the car from West Bengal a year ago. However, the sticker was affixed a few days ago, he added. Later, they were released on bail.

It has also been found that the car was not issued NOC by the motor department authorities.

Earlier, National Investigation Agency (NIA) had arrested a 29-year-old resident of Palakkad for allegedly planning a suicide attack in Kerala.

NIA arrested Riyas A, who shared the videos and speeches of the mastermind of the Easter attacks in Sri Lanka, Zahran Hashim.

The NIA was also probing a case filed in July 2016 following the missing of 15 youths from Kasaragod district. It was later found that the 15 youths joined in ISIS.
