Capabilities of modern terrorists is mind-boggling: NSA

New Delhi, Oct 21 (IBNS): National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval on Tuesday warned not to under-estimate the modern terrorists and termed their capabilities as mind-boggling, media reported.
Speaking at the sidelines of a function, Doval laid stress on the threat of cyber-terrorism.

According to him, “10 years after world declared war against terror, terrorism is much more intense.”

He said, "One of the biggest challenges is to give right type of response to the threat of invasion of cyber security. Various security groups at different levels have to work together and find technological answers to the problem.”

Doval added, "This is a type of threat which no country will individually be able to deal and tackle. In cyber space somebody can invade your privacy, the safety of your weapon systems, defence systems, critical infrastructure, governance, locomotives, aircrafts and power generation. Everything can be targeted by a person who is totally out of your reach."

Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also stressed on the threat of cyber-terrorism while delivering a speech during the Combined Commanders’ conference.

This was reiterated by Doval on Tuesday. He said, “There's need for a UN convention on terrorism with prescribed unified response. India is deeply concerned about the developments in West Asia.”
