Bypoll to one seat of Karnataka Council on Mar 15, announces ECI

New Delhi/UNI: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday announced by-election to one vacant seat of Karnataka Legislative Council on Mar 15.

The seat got vacated due to the death of member S L Dharmegowda on Dec 28, 2020.

The notification will be issued on Feb 25 while the polling will be held on Mar 15, Monday, from 9 am to 4 pm.

The counting will take place from 5 pm on the same day, the ECI said.

The tenure of the vacant post is till June 17, 2024.
