Bus falls into canal in Uttar Pradesh, 20 hurt

Lakhimpur Kheri, Jul 10 (UNI) At least 12 people were injured when a bus plunged into a canal near Sharda Nagar in this district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
The accident occurred at 0630 hrs when driver lost control over steering.

The bus, carrying 20 Nepali citizens, fell into the canal. All the passengers are safe.


The vehicle was proceeding towards Nepalganj in Nepal from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh.


On Tuesday morning, 29 passengers of a Janrath bus of the UP government were killed when it fell into the Jharna canal in Agra on the Yamuna Expressway.


A driver and cleaner of a truck were killed when their vehicle fell into the Ganga river in Rae Bareli district on Tuesday.
