| @indiablooms | May 13, 2019, at 03:49 pm

Gorakhpur, May 13(UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) leader Mayawati on Monday came down heavily on Prime Minister Narendra Modi questioning his OBC credentials and alleging that 'Modi is trying to create differences in the opposition grand alliance in UP.'

"We have never asked about the caste of the PM but instead we have disclosed that he is not backward from birth like Akhilesh Yadav. But now he is doing all drama to get political mileage during the elections over the issue even as he had done everything against the backwards," Mayawati said, while addressing a joint alliance meeting of the SP-BSP-RLD here.

"This alliance is strong and permanent and after dislodging BJP from the Centre will uproot Yogi from the state," she claimed.

"On May 23, bure din of Modi and Shah would start and Yogi will also return to his maath very soon," the BSP supremo aded.

Mayawati said that the five phase polls which are completed has given the mahagathbandhan a major lead in the state and the seventh phase will further seal the fate of the BJP in the state.

On the occasion , the BSP president also hit out at the Congress claiming that they had failed to end poverty in their rule leading to this situation in the country.

" Don't fall prey to BJP's promises as they will again treat you like their 2014 promises of acche din and giving Rs 15 lakh," she appealed to the voters and asked them to vote everywhere for the alliance candidates.

SP president Akhilesh Yadav in his speech too criticised the BJP in full throttle alleging that the farmers did not get hike in their income as promised by PM Modi instead now money is being withdrawn from the accounts under the Kisan Samman Yojgna . " PM Modi is insulting the farmers," he said.

Claiming that it was the previous SP government in the state which had done all the developments of Gorakhpur and its surrounding including setting up of AIIMS, the SP president said that the two year regime of the Yogi government was a total failure like the 5 year of Narendra Modi.

He also blamed the Yogi government over the death of innocent people in stray animal attack in all over the state particularly in the state capital ." Cases should be lodged against the CM for these deaths," he said.

"Now it is a time to snatch the chowki from the self styled chowkidar of the country and give the nation a democratic government who works for the people," he said.

Yadav also supported the views of Mayawati by saying thatn after May 23 both the BJP government at the Centre as well as in UP will be removed.

RLD president Ajit Singh was also present in the meeting.

The alliance leaders also addressed a joint meeting in Ghazipur in support of BSP candidate Afzal Ansarti.
