BSF kills 7 Pakistani Rangers along LoC in J&K's Kathua district

Jammu, oct 21 (IBNS): The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday killed seven Pakistani Rangers or paramilitary soldiers along the International Border in Hiranagar sector in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, media reports said.

Pakistani troopers resorted to unprovoked firing at Bobiya post in  the Hiranagar sector  since Wednesday night.

A BSF jawan Gurnam Singh was wounded in the firing.

He is in critical condition at a Jammu hospital.

The troops guarding the border retaliated  immediately leading to a prolonged bun battle.

The encounter left seven Pakistani Rangers killed.

The BSF stated that it gave a "befitting reply" to the rangers.
