Bomb scare on Lucknow Shatabdi Express turns out to be 'hoax'

Ghaziabad, Jan 3 (IBNS): Following a thorough search conducted by GRP and local police in Ghaziabad railway station, the bomb scare on the Lucknow Shatabdi Express was declared as a "hoax" on Sunday, media reports said.
Railway officials confirmed to mediapersons that there was no presence of explosives in any of the coaches and that the train departed at 7:52 am from Ghaziabad with all passengers on board.
 
Several trains were earlier in the day halted at the New Delhi railway station after bomb scare on the Lucknow Shatabdi Express.
 
The Lucknow Shatabdi Express was halted at the Ghaziabad railway station at 6:23 am after the GRP in Ghaziabad received a call from their Delhi counterparts about the possibility of a bomb being placed in one of the coaches of the express
 
The train was evacuated following reports of bomb scare on the train,  reports said.
 
The station was being searched by security personnel. Bomb squad also reached the spot.
 
However, after a thorough search, the GRP in Ghaziabad confirmed that there were no explosives on the train.
