Bodo militant killed in gun battle in Assam

Guwahati, September 22 : A hardcore NDFB (S) militant was killed in a gun fight with security forces in Assam’s Kokrajhar district on Thursday morning, officials said.


According to the reports, the Army and police had launched a joint operation in  a remote area in the BTAD district and killed the militant during gun battle.

The slain militant was identified as Rajib Basumutary.

Security personnel recovered one pistol, few rounds of live ammunition and  two grenades from his possession.
