Bodies of the three on board the missing chopper found

Itanagar, Aug 11 (IBNS) A week after a Pawan Hans helicopter weatent missing in Arunachal Pradesh, bodies of three people on board were found on Tuesday, reports said.

The wreckage  of the   Dauphin VT PHK helicopter was spotted on Monday in an inhospitable forest area between Thinsa and Sanglian villages in Tirap district.

Deputy Commissioner of Tirap District Kamalesh Joshi and the two pilots of the helicopter MS Brar and Rajeev Hoskote were killed in the crash.

Their  bodies and debris have been found near the remote Kheti village of Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh. Search operations are still on for the remaining wreckage.

The remains will be airlifted from the site and brought to Tirap district headquarters in Khonsa on Wednesday  by a special team from the High Altitude Warfare School in Sonmarg.

The chopper  had taken off from Naharlagun helipad on August four around 8.30 AM and landed at Khonsa en-route Mohanbari It took off at 10.15 AM with Tirap DC Dr Kamalesh Kumar Joshi for Londing, but went missing after a few minutes.
