BJP-SS alliance will win 225 seats, claims Minister

Aurangabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Minister of State Ministry of Consumer Affairs Raosaheb Danve has said the BJP-SS alliance will easily secure 225 seats of the total 288 in the October 21 Assembly polls.

Danve made the remark after inaugurating the BJP campaigning office for Aurangabad east constituency with Minister of State Atul Save on Tuesday night.

"There is tremendous response from masses in favour of BJP-SS and there will be no impact on alliance because of opposition parties," he said and alleged that the Congress and NCP do not have candidates for this election that is why they have not released the list of candidates yet.

In 2014, the two parties had contested the Assembly elections separately for the first time in 25 years after they had been unable to reach a seat-sharing arrangement. The BJP had won 122 seats while the Sena had won 63 seats. With no party reaching the majority mark, Sena and BJP had joined hands to form a coalition government.
