BJP mocks Congress for having 'Chole Bhature' before fast

New Delhi. Apr 9 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Harish Khurana has mocked the Congress as several of its leaders were allegedly having a meal prior to the fast which was called by the party in the national capital.

The Congress has called the fast as a protest against the Narendra Modi-led government over a number of issues ranging from the Cauvery river water share to the Punjab National Bank scam.

BJP's Khurana tweeted a picture where Congress leaders including Delhi party chief Ajay Maken were seen having "Chole Bhature" at a restaurant.

Khurana said on the tweet in Hindi, "While the Congress asked all people to fast at Raj Ghat, leaders of the party are having Chole Bhature at a restaurant."

The images have gone viral after Khurana's tweet.

The issues on which the Congress are holding the protest also include the washout of budget session of the parliament, CBSE paper leak and special status for Andhra Pradesh.

The second phase of budget session, which began on Mar 5, went without any business.
