BJP considers fielding cricketer Sreesanth in Karala Assembly polls

Kochi, Mar 22 (IBNS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to field former Indian cricketer S. Sreesanth in the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections, CNN-IBN reports quoting party sources.

The party has contacted him, but he has sought time to think about it till Wednesday. If he decides to contest from Thrippunithura, he will be pitted against excise minister K Babu.

According to sources, Sreesanth has informed BJP top brass that he will decide on the matter after discussing with his family.
