Bihar polls: 35.68 pct turnout in fort till noon

Patna, Nov 1 (IBNS) The penultimate voting phase for 55 constituencies in the Bihar assembly elections witnessed 35.68 percent voters turnout till Sunday noon, media reports said.
The stakes are high for the incumbent BJP led central government who managed a decent number in the last assembly poll here, winning 26 of the 55 sets, followed by JD(U)'s 24.
 
Around 1,47,00,000 voters are expected to cast their votes in these 55 constituencies.
 
Elections are already over in 131 constituencies, covered in the last three phases. The fifth and the final phase will conclude the Bihar elections where voting will be on for the remaining 57 seats.
 
Meanwhile, a clash between voters and the police was reported in Sheohar. 
 
As many as 18 people have been arrested for irregularities.
