Bihar: One shot dead in Bhagalpur

In the Kahalgaon police station area of Bhagalpur district in Bihar, a person was shot dead by criminals.

Kahalgaon sub-divisional police officer Shivanand Singh said here on Saturday Surendra Yadav (42), a resident of the Purba Tola area, was at his home on Friday night.

During this time, some criminals reached his house and shot Surendra Yadav dead as soon as he opened the door.

The reasons for the murder are not immediately known.

The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team from Bhagalpur has been called for investigation.

Technical assistance is being taken to identify the criminals involved in the incident.

Sub-divisional police office said the police have registered an FIR against unknown people in this regard.

The body has been sent for post-mortem to the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital, Bhagalpur.
