Patna, Dec 31 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): A government hospital in Bihar threw a patient suffering from burn injuries down into a place meant for dumping garbage.

Reports said a youth who suffered serious burn injuries in a fire incident was bought to referral hospital at Lalganj block in Vaishali district.

Finding his condition critical, the authorities shifted him to the local Sadar hospital at Hajipur town but instead of providing him immediate medicare, the hospital threw him down into a dump of garbage, leaving him at the mercy of God.

The story hit the headlines after a local media published the photograph of the partly-dressed youth lying amid garbage in an unconscious state in the chilly cold.

The hospital administration has ordered an investigation into the matter.

Bihar opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday hit out at the government over the prevailing state of affairs at the government hospitals and questioned the sensitivity of the people in power.
