Patna, May 24 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): A minor boy was cruelly killed in Bihar only because he had plucked a few litchi fruits from the orchard of a neighbour, his family's arch-rival.

The horrible incident took place at Nabtola Chowka village in Bhagalpur, an eastern Bihar district some 200 km east of Patna.

Reports said Aman Kumar, 12, along with four other friends barged into the orchard belonging to Bindeshwari Mandal, his parents’ rival, on Tuesday and began plucking the syrupy ripe litchis when its owner saw them.

He chased the children in a bid to catch them. While his other friends managed to flee, Aman was caught.

Subsequently, he was badly beaten up by bamboo sticks and belts as he sustained grievous wounds in internal parts of his body.

Initially the boy didn’t tell anything about the incident but when his condition deteriorated he told his parents about the incident.

Soon, the victim was rushed to a local hospital but finally succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.

The police have arrested three persons in connection with the incident.
