Bihar: Betel trader shot dead in Saharsa

Saharsa, Nov 22 (UNI) A betel trader was shot dead by criminals at Paharpur Bazar under Simri Bakhtiyarpur police station area in Saharsa district.

Police said here today that the betel trader Dharmveer Bhagat was at his shop late last night when three motorcycle borne criminals opened fire on him, leading to his death on the spot.

Motive behind the killing was being investigated, police added.

"Raids were being carried out to nab the criminals", police said adding that the body had been sent for postmortem.
