Bhopal: Portion of railway over-bridge collapses, 9 injured

Bhopal/IBNS: At least nine people were injured as a portion of a railway over-bridge in Bhopal  city collapsed on Thursday morning, media reports said.

The injured were rushed to a hospital.

Some eyewitnesses told media that the stairs leading to the over-bridge collapsed.

Railway spokesperson IA Siddiqui said as quoted by India Today, "A small portion of the slab of the foot over-bridge collapsed. 7-8 people have been injured. There have been no grievous injuries and there is no casualty either. We will investigate the matter and action will be taken against the people responsible for it."
