Bengaluru's first woman cab driver found dead, suicide suspected

Bengaluru, June 28 (IBNS) Bharathi Veerath, who made news by taking to the steering as Bengaluru's first woman cab drivers, was found dead at her house in Nagashettyhalli on Monday, reports said.

Her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her third-floor house as neighbours neighbours, who got suspicious after finding her cab parked in front of the house for a long time, entered it.

Bharthi, who hailed from Warangal district in Telengana, became one of the earliest cab drivers in the city after she quit her tailoring job.

She was enlisted with  Uber in 2014. 

Reports said police  suspect it to be a case of suicide, although no suicide note was found at her house.
