Bengaluru: CCTV camera captures molestation shocker
The latest footage showed two mobike borne men dragging the woman and molesting her as she struggled to get free. She was thrown on the ground later and no one was seen coming to her rescue.
Neighbours said they heard her scream and came out when the men were gone.
Senior cops said they would register a case and probe it irrespective of the woman filing a formal complaint.
Earlier, political leaders, including Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara, triggered an outrage with their remarks after they blamed 'western culture' as the reason behind the mass molestation incident in India's IT hub Bengaluru during new year eve.
Activists, women groups and rights bodies dubbed the reactions of politicians to the incidents as misogynistic and demanded immediate action against the perpetrators of the crime.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara said western culture is to blame and that "these things do happen".
Senior Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi said influence of western culture should be curbed to avoid future occurrence of such incidents and he indicated that women should not dress "provocatively" or go out with "other men".
The shameful New Year incidents were revealed after a photojournalist from the newspaper Bangalore Mirror alleged that he had seen several distraught women approached police women and complained of molestation.
According to reports, hooligans had molested them and made lewd remarks during the New Year's celebrations on Dec 31.
