Kolkata, May 4 (IBNS) The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) on Tuesday alleged that TMC Lok Sabha MP Suvendhu Adhikari conducted a midnight meeting with local Officer-in-Charge (OC)s where decisions were taken to disrupt polling process during the final phase of the Assembly polling in the state on May 5.

The party claimed that the decision was reached that OCs will keep the CPF inactive during the polls on Thursday.

The CPI-M has submitted a complaint before the CEO West Bengal, ECI New Delhi, Police Observer, SP & DM of East Midnapore over the issue.

"The meeting was held on May 1 at Paskura Banamali college in East Midnapore district. The decision which has been taken in the secret midnight-meeting was this. The above mention OCs will supply liquor and meat for the Central Force," read the complaint which the CPI-M party submitted filed before the ECI.

During a press conference here in Kolkata, CPI-M state secretary Surya Kanta Mishra said, "We have received all information relating to the secret meeting and their plans. We have submitted complaint before the CEO West Bengal and ECI New Delhi."

The Trinamool Congress, however, rubbished the charge.

Suvendhu Adhikari told IBNS: "SK Mishra has become mad. He needs proper medical treatment.

Polling will be held in 25 assembly seats, including 16 in East Midnapore and nine in Coochbehar districts, on May 5.
