Bengal: At least 7 dead, 15 injured in collision between SUV and auto-rickshaw in Murshidabad

Kolkata/IBNS: At least seven people were killed and 15 others were seriously injured as a speeding SUV reportedly collided with an auto-rickshaw on National Highway 34 near Dhola More area under Suti Police Station limits in Murshidabad district of West Bengal at around 1 pm. on Thursday.

According to reports, one front wheel of the speeding SUV suddenly got detached from the axle following which the vehicle lost its control and rammed into an auto-rickshaw on the opposite lane.

Several people were seriously hurt in the mishap and they were rushed to a nearby hospital where seven of them were pronounced dead.

Local police said that the death toll could increase as health conditions of multiple injured were critical.
