Being CM is more difficult than union minister: Parrikar
New Delhi, Nov 9 (IBNS): With Manohar Parrikar tipped to take over the charge of the defence ministry, the former Goa Chief Minister said that the task of running a state government is more difficult than being an Union Minister.
"I am an ex-MLA and former chief minister. I have been asked to come down to Delhi for swearing-in ceremony. Being chief minister is more difficult than Union Minister. I will have less responsibility," Parrikar told media.
Parrikar faxed his resignation letter as the Chief Minister of Goa to Governor on Saturday afternoon.
His resignation paved in the way for Goa Health Minister Laxmikant Parsekar to take up the charge.
Pareskar was on Saturday sworn in as the state's next Chief Minister.
