Bangladeshi infiltrators have become the vote bank of TMC: Amit Shah says in Purba Medinipur rally

Purba Medinipur, Jan 29 (IBNS): BJP President Amit Shah on Tuesday came down to West Bengal and addressed a rally in Purba Medinipur where he accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of using 'Bangladeshi infiltrators' as their 'vote bank'.

"Bangladeshi infiltrators have become the vote bank of TMC," Shah said.

He said only the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership can free Bengal from infiltrators.

"Only Modi govt will be able to make Bengal free of infiltrators," he said.

Targeting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he said: "Mamata Didi is opposing a scheme like Ayushman Bharat just because she fear that if the scheme is implemented then Modi ji will become popular in West Bengal."

Shah said the state government is trying to establish 'bomb manufacturing units' in every district instead of creating development in West Bengal.

"We need to ensure a change in the govt for the development of Bengal. Neither Congress nor TMC was able to develop Bengal," Shah said.

Shah is visiting the state at a time when the country is gearing up to host the Lok Sabha polls in next few months.

The polls are expected to see a battle between the Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party and TMC and other opposition parties.
