Bandh supporters damage government buses in Munger

Munger/UNI: Anti-social elements this morning broke the glass-panes of four buses of the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation and damaged them badly.

All the buses were inside the campus of the government bus-stand in Munger town.

Passenger train-services were also disrupted in between Jamalpur and Khagaria and Jamalpur-Begusarai this morning. Vehicular traffic was off the road.

All shops and business establishments were closed.

In support of the RJD-sponsored Bihar Bandh call, hundreds of agitators, including members of minority community, took out a procession this morning and demonstrated in the Munger headquarters.

They were carrying national-flags and placards,demanding withdrawal of the Citizenship Amendment Act .

The Munger administration has deputed armed police personnel at all sensitive points in the district to maintain law and order in the district.
